Y5 Homework arrangements
Homework for both Maths and English will be set weekly and can include a range of activities. Homework will be given out on a Wednesday and should be returned on the following Wednesday, unless otherwise stated. Weekly spellings will be sent home on a Tuesday and will be tested on the following Tuesday. Some time will be allocated during school hours for further practise but it is really important that pupils work on these at home, especially if they are finding them tricky. It is expected that pupils read at least four times per week, for a minimum of 15 minutes per session. We have reading raffles and smiley systems in place to reward those pupils who are regularly reading and returning their Reading Records every week. We check these on a Monday, so please ensure they are brought into school every week.
Both classes will be swimming at the new Thorncliffe Health and Leisure Centre on Wednesday afternoons throughout the year.
Miss Drysder's class: 14.09.2016- 01.02.2017
Miss Cafferkey's class: 15.02.2017- 12.07.2017
